Fresh Start Cafe Fresh Start Cafe provides a freshly prepared meal for all those who participate or serve in Celebrate Recovery Rockwall. This hour offers time for fellowship, finding an accountability partner, securing a sponsor, or simply meeting new people. ($4.00 donations are encouraged to cover the cost of the meal. First time here? Newcomers eat free.)
Worship & Large Group (or the Landing for teens & Celebration Place for kids K-6th grade) A component of the General Meeting Night. This is a time where the entire Celebrate Recovery group gets together for a time of singing praises to God, inspiring lessons and amazing recovery testimonies. Lessons taught come from the Celebrate Recovery Leader’s Guide. “Large” does not necessarily refer to the size of the group, only that all participants will meet together.
Open Share Group These groups immediately follow the Large Group Meeting. The Open Share Groups are intended to provide a safe place for sharing and reflecting on your recovery. The groups are gender-specific and as much as possible, issue- specific. The Small Group Guidelines are enforced in the Open Share Groups.
Common Grounds Common Grounds meets for 30-45 minutes immediately after Open Share Groups. Coffee, Hot Cocoa, and snacks are provided. This is a great time to wind down and further develop healthy relationships, or find sponsors and/or accountability partners.
Step Study Group The Step Study Group is a two-hour meeting designed to work through the 12 Steps and 8 Principles, using the Celebrate Recovery Participant’s Guides. These groups meet on a different night/day than the General Meeting Night. These groups are also gender-specific. The Small Group Guidelines are enforced in the Step Study Groups.
Newcomers 101 A Small Group designed with the Newcomer in mind. This group is offered on the General Meeting Night during the Open Share groups. Newcomers 101 is a “one- time only” informational meeting to introduce Newcomers to the ministry and to answer any questions they may have. Newcomers should attend this group before identifying with an Open Share Group.
