This week our testimony will come from a young lady who has struggled with self-image issues, distrust, and feelings of inadequacy. Come hear how God brought her to Celebrate Recovery and how that journey and a Step Study brought peace to her life.

What does it mean to be entirely READY? You've admitted you had a problem and were powerless over it; you came to believe that God could and would help you; you sought Him and turned your life and your will over to His care and direction; you wrote a spiritual inventory and shared that with God and another person. You have been busy! Don't let Satan lull you into thinking it's about time to take a breather!!
It's time to start removing some of those character defects, and the sooner the better! However, some defects are hard to give up. This week's lesson will help us start the process of removing these hurts, habits, and hang-ups. Wouldn't you love to stop being greedy? Ready to let go of those resentments? Ready to stop lying? How about that pride issue? Wouldn't it be nice to have peace of mind rather than the chaos of an angry, unforgiving heart? READY? It's time to Release control, but, Easy does it; you'll have to Accept the change; Do replace your character defects with Godly character traits, and then Yield to growth!
Principle 5: Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects. "Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires." (Matthew 5:6)
Step 6: We were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character. "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up." (James 4:10)
PRINCIPLE 4: Openly examine and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone I trust. "Happy are the pure in heart." (Matthew 5:8)
STEP 5: We admitted to God, to ourselves, and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs. "Therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed." (James 5:16)
Principle 4 is often the most difficult for people. Many of us have been keeping secrets for so long. Every day those secrets take a toll on us. The toll we pay is loss of self-respect and energy. We become slaves to our co-dependent habits. Admitting -out loud- those secrets strips them of their power over our lives.
As we begin this step, Satan is going to heighten our sense of fear. We will begin to fear that we are about to lose everything and gain nothing. This is a lie!! Satan wants us caught up in our deception and and mired in our unconfessed sin.
Come find out what it means to lose your sense of isolation, you unwillingness to forgive, your sense of denial, and your inflated self-pride. Join us this Friday for the truth about what you will lose if you turn your life over to the sanity of Christ!!
